Well, we enjoyed him while we had him! Brian's LCLR tour kept him around for the last month.. only leaving Thursdays through Sundays. It was so very nice to have family dinners.. a little vino outside with fresh things from our garden. Home is good. Evie's birthday was a smashing success.. it seems to still be going, as friends continue to drop by with things for our little dame. We are preparing for the very first day of pre-school.. the excitement is positively palpable.
Brian jetted off early morning. He began a jaunt to Canada, New York, Philadelphia, Maryland.. Tangiers, Walla Walla, Puerto Rico and Ohio. Okay, okay I don't think he's actually going to Ohio this time out. LCLR shows are going strong and Brian continues to entertain as long as he can catch a flight, a train a car whatever, to get there. Back home they boys in the band are polishing up the new children's record.. and I find myself singing tunes from it randomly throughout my day. I love my cereeaaallll! It's like the best most perfect kid anthem ever! If there weren't two avid perfectionists in the band(You know who you are!) we would all be singing the cereal anthem together. But good things come to those who wait..I suppose.
My record is chugging along at the speed of well, a small prop plane in a thunderstorm over the Rocky's. Kidding! I am so pleased to announce the drum tracks are officially done and being edited. I have a new helper producing the title track.. so we're working that all out. I can really only hope that this will be done before Christmas.. I hope I hope I hope.
I'm looking out the window of sun room this morning. Man it feels like fall already. With all the touring and playing and recording we have been doing summer has been a blur. We have circled the states, hopped over to Hawaii, and been to Europe and back. It's hard to believe that we are able to do what we love and get paid for it... albeit a humble existence we live.. but a very rich and sweet one with our experiences and the many friends we make along the way. I am so grateful our daughter has travelled nearly every inch of the country before heading into her next big experience... school! I need a coffee refill.. looking for an appropriate picture to smack on this post. Safe travels to Brian out there in the world. muah!
Ps. this picture has nearly nothing to do with this post! However, I am cracking up looking at it.. Not only is Dewey very sweetly helping Evangeline put on her helmet to ride her new bike.. but there is some cake theft going on in the back ground! Eva and Elli you're busted!
